Jerry is a co-founder of Greenway Solutions, a consultancy that specializes in Online Banking, E-Commerce, Predictive Analytics and Online Security. Jerry leads Greenway's Online Security Practice which specializes in security architecture, data analytics, fraud prevention, fraud control testing, and project management. Greenway's clients include 6 of the top 10 US / UK banks as well as many regional and mid market banks.
In 2012, Jerry led the creation of EFTGuard in conjunction with AIG Insurance and Royal Group Services. EFTGuard provides business banking customers with up to $500,0000 of fraud loss protection on commercial bank accounts not covered by Regulation E.
In 2010, Jerry led the creation of the Fraud Red Team. The Fraud Red Team is an external testing service that helps banks identify and fix gaps in their fraud-prevention controls by replicating the actions of fraudsters. The team executes more than 1,000 tests, including social engineering tests, using real accounts that the Team funds and controls. Fraud Red Team has been used by several of the world's leading financial institutions in the US, UK, and Canada.
Jerry's professional career started in 1986 with American Management Systems (AMS). Jerry held multiple leadership positions at AMS including creation of their web application development group. In 1999 Jerry started his first company, Vicious Systems, which specialized in connecting mainframe applications to the web, designing web sites and creating interactive marketing campaigns. In 2002 Vicious Systems was sold to a Private Equity firm and in 2005 its successor company, Seurat, was sold to Fair Isaac Corporation.
Patrick is a co-founder of Greenway Solutions and currently leads the Strategy Consulting Practice. Patrick has over 18 years of consulting experience with Fortune 500™ companies spanning the financial services, travel, and telecommunications industries. Representative Strategy engagements he has led include a mobile payments strategy for a top 10 financial institution, a social media strategy for a top 10 financial institution, a dealer portal strategy for a captive automotive finance company, and a cross channel authentication strategy for a top 10 financial institution.
Prior to Greenway Solutions, Patrick was a partner at Vicious Systems where he led their Interactive CRM and Web Marketing practice. He helped oversee and drive the firm's rapid revenue growth, strategic positioning and eventual sale to a private equity group. Their successor company is now part of Fair Isaac Corporation. Before Vicious Systems, Patrick spent 6 years with American Management Systems Financial Industry Group where he was a Senior Strategy Consultant.
Patrick holds a BS and MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Ed Aluise is a Director with Greenway Solutions. He has 20 years of experience in consulting and general management roles working with Global 1000 and mid-sized institutions in the Financial Services, Consumer Products, and Retail industries. In these roles, Edward has worked with a variety of companies to develop growth-oriented strategies while managing risk. His areas of expertise span strategy and product development, digital risk and security, and digital channel development. Recent engagements he has led include a digital experience strategy and roadmap for a super-regional bank, a payments controls assessment for a regional bank, and digital channels risk management program for a super-regional bank.
Prior to joining Greenway Solutions in 2011, Edward held Strategy and Product leadership roles at Bank of America in Payments, Small Business and Treasury Services businesses, including stints on the leadership teams of those multi-billion dollar organizations. Edward started his career as a consultant with AT Kearney in their Economics and Customer-Oriented Growth practices. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina.
Principal Consultant — Technology Practice
Kyle has over 20 years of experience within the Financial Services industry focused on system architecture, application development and program management. Kyle joined Greenway Solutions in 2013 and is a member of the Technology Practice. Most recently, Kyle has been engaged with a super regional bank focused on planning for the next generation digital experience across the bank's Wealth Management, Mass Affluent and Mass Market channels.
Prior to joining Greenway Solutions, Kyle worked with a regional bank where he was responsible for managing programs across application development teams responsible for Wealth Management, Online Banking, Branch Operations, Call Center Technologies and Corporate Systems. Prior to that, Kyle held a variety of roles in multiple business segments within GE Capital and Genworth Financial, including Mortgage Insurance, and multiple Equipment Leasing operations. Kyle has also worked with Andersen Consulting engaged in the Financial Services and Telecommunications industries. He started his career with GE Aerospace.
Kyle holds a BS from the University of Delaware, and an MS from Syracuse University, both in Electrical Engineering. He is a PMI Certified Project Management Professional, and a Six Sigma Green Belt.
Ram leads the Analytics Practice at Greenway Solutions bringing fifteen years of Analytics experience spanning CRM, Behavioral and Fraud Analytics. Prior to Greenway, Ram was leader of the Marketing Automation & Analytics Practice at Quaero (2005 – 2005 Ram worked with Seurat Company and Fair Isaac delivering fraud and collections decision management solutions to leading financial services and retail firms.
Ram is a hands on practitioner with extensive depth in the both online and real time applications. He is experienced with several online technologies and analytics platforms, and he is published in multiple Trade Journals.
Ram holds an MS in Engineering from University of Akron, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Bombay (India).
Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, most recently in product development and management for Digital Channels. During her time in Financial Services, she also focused on product management for consumer loans, credit cards and debit cards, as well as consumer lending training and development strategies. Melissa joined Greenway Solutions in 2014.
Prior to Greenway Solutions, Melissa was Vice President and Online Product Manager at First Citizens Bank for 7+ years, responsible for both online banking/bill pay and online account opening. Melissa was a key member of the bank's original implementation team for online account opening, and for its initial mobile banking offering. Melissa performed many roles at Central Carolina Bank and SunTrust prior to First Citizens, including product management, training and instructional design, lending, and marketing.
She is viewed as an account opening and consumer lending subject matter expert, and was heavily involved in several consolidation strategy efforts for loan products. Melissa graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Armand assists financial institutions in the development and execution of enterprise-wide fraud management programs. Prior to joining Greenway Solutions, Armand held the position of Senior Director of Fraud Analytics at Experian, where he was responsible for all fraud-based analytical and consulting projects across Experian Americas. Armand also held the position of Analytics Science Director in Fair Isaac Corporation's Applied R&D group. His experience includes building large-scale models to identify transaction fraud, developing card-not-present and application fraud models, as well as fraud consulting and policy rules optimization.
Armand received his Ph.D. in physics from Northeastern University in Boston. He has held various research positions at Oxford University, UK and at the University of California, San Diego.
AML/BSA Audit and Compliance
Lisa is a member of Greenway's Financial Crimes Compliance Practice. Prior to Greenway, Lisa was with Bank of America (BAC) where she was the North American Financial Crimes Compliance Executive for the Global Corporate and Commercial Bank. Her AML compliance role at BAC included high risk areas such as Correspondent Banking, Money Services Businesses, Banknotes, Casinos, Embassies and Treasury Products. In this role, Lisa rebuilt the existing compliance team, implemented new strategies, and created new management reporting routines to drive stronger accountability / ownership of Financial Crimes Risk by the lines of business. As the Compliance Executive, Lisa was selected to be a member of BAC's Strategic Targeted Analysis Team (STAT) to proactively identify and mitigate financial crimes vulnerabilities across enterprise.
In addition to her AML Compliance experience, Lisa was an Audit Director managing audit teams at BAC with broad coverage areas including Compliance and AML. In this role Lisa built an Audit Center of Excellence (ACOE) covering Compliance and Risk Management. The ACOE, established the audit framework, coverage model, work plans and reporting for Audit and the Lines of Business. As part of this work, the coverage of AML/Economic sanctions was restructured to provide traceable and reportable coverage enterprise-wide achieving satisfactory reviews by the OCC and Federal Regulators. Lisa earned a BS in Mathematical Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University and a MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Avalon Swain, PMP
Avalon is an experienced and proven Program Manager who plans and delivers strategy, process and technology solutions that enable organizations to achieve higher performance. Avalon specializes in leading geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in the implementation of various technology solutions in the financial services industry (i.e. investment banking, capital markets, retail banking and insurance). Avalon's domain expertise includes marketing automation, customer relationship management, customer service, e-commerce, business intelligence and enterprise performance management solutions. Avalon's architectural expertise includes SaaS, PaaS, IaaS cloud, and mobile environments.
Kathleen is a consultant at Greenway Solutions bringing more than 30 years of Payments experience with financial institutions. Kathleen focuses on Compliance, Fraud, and AML solutions for Retail and Commercial Banking customers. Prior to Greenway, Kathleen held leadership positions in the Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at Bank of America. Global FIG encompassed banks, broker/dealers, credit card processors, insurance companies and mortgage companies. As part of her responsibilities, Kathleen developed AML/KYC global governance for the Bank's wholesale cash and banknotes business. In this role, Kathleen met with regulators in the U.S., U.K., European Union, Mexico and Asia to ensure an understanding of the AML /KYC requirements across various regions.
Kathleen earned an MBA at the University of Illinois-Springfield. She is a Certified Cash Manager and also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
Marketing Data Analytics
Herman brings over 18-years of experience in Digital marketing. His unique mix of expertise in Digital Strategy, Marketing Analytics, and Lean Product Development drive results. Prior to Greenway Solutions, Herman served as Vice President of Digital Strategy - Product and Project Management in Oppenheimer Funds, a financial services company with over $230 billion in assets under management. He led the organization's build-up of a strategic digital platform to generate leads in an up-market and diversify redemptions in a down-market. In addition to the tangible financial benefits, he led the business and tech teams in Lean and Agile product development methodologies enabling the organization to continuously adapt to future technologies and customer behavior evolution.
Herman started his career as a systems engineer for a Content Management startup in the media industry. In 2003, he joined Consumer Reports, a non-profit media company with $200 million revenue and 7 million subscribers, to launch new health and automotive content products. He then an advertising tech startup that helped brands increase online sales with predictive models and advertising technologies. His audience targeting effort enabled a major airline company to generate significant incremental sales in the first 4 months.
